CAME Connect Innovation

The pioneering CAME Connect 2.0 platform was launched in 2020 providing CAME installers with an ever-improving suite of powerful tools to commission and manage their installations and offered end users a new way to activate and secure their entrances.

Durning 2021 in the UK and Ireland, CAME embarked on an ambitious promotion to support installers by offering Always Connect Kits featuring Connect Modules shipped with ready loaded SIM cards with data plans. These kits lowered the barrier to entry for installers and customers, opening the power of the Connect platform throughout the Automation industry. The campaign proved popular and continued well beyond it’s planned period of 2 years.

Today the CAME Connect platform remains the industry benchmark of cloud-based digital tools for the Automation Installer. The platform continues to evolve and improve, building in new services and innovations, including upgrading services to existing modules, to support our Installer network with over 15,000 live installations in the cloud.

What Installers Say about CAME Connect

Check Your CAME Connect SIM Balance

The supplied SIM cards were designed to have enough data to last 3-4 years with typical use, and this has proven to be the case. The earliest installed Connect modules are now reaching their expected SIM data life. Data from 1NCE, our SIM partner, shows that many early SIMs in the wild still have available data and continue to provide diagnostic feedback and customer activation, even after the expected data service life.

To ensure you and your customers continue to receive CAME Connect services, we advise you check the status of installed SIMs that have been installed for 3 or more years. If you or a customer notice CAME Connect services are no longer working on an installation, we suggest you check the SIM card balance first before undertaking further diagnosis, site visits or support calls.

Fortunately checking the balance of a SIM is a simple online process, as is topping up the balance if required.

How to check the balance of a CAME Connect SIM

Checking the remaining data on a Connect SIM is simple, free and online. You only need your SIM number.

  • The remaining balance of the SIM will be returned in MB, along with an estimate of how long the data is expected to last (this estimate is based on historical usage data and future data consumption is dependent on the number and type of device)
