CAME Group consolidates its market share in the large public-space-management sector with the acquisition of the Spanish group Parkare - the parking technology and parking meter specialist.

The deal will join the two groups, both of which can boast proven track records in the power-driven operator and parking-system management sectors, not to mention keen service-oriented approaches and solid technical reputations thanks to their very active research and development efforts.

The Parkare group, established in 1980 sells sustainable mobility products and solutions. It employs 221 people in Spain and in directly-owned branch offices in France, the United Kingdom, Chile, Mexico and Peru and distributes its products in 20 countries through various partnerships.

Thanks to the synergies between the two companies, CAME Group, with revenues of 215 million euros in 2013, will consolidate its 20-year market share in the large-public-space management sector. The Veneto-based group, in fact, first began operating in this sector in the early 90s with its parking systems and then, in 2000, went on to consolidate its presence in the city-planning sector by establishing a dedicated division and acquiring Urbaco in 2004.

Parkare's joining the CAME Group will act as a force multiplier to enhance the group's sales effort and further improve its performance thanks to the consolidated pre and post sale capacity and the development of new smart-management and eco-friendly technologies for city and living spaces.

"The Parkare acquisition - stated Paolo Menuzzo, President of CAME Group - is a new stepping stone in our diversification and consolidation strategy and began in 2004 with the acquisition of Urbaco, which today is considered one of the gems of the large-public-space management sector. This deal, which joins two strongly service-oriented outfits, will enable us to develop new strategies and synergies for growth to further consolidate our leading role in international markets".
