CAME is enlarging its training schedules with opening of its new Hemel Hempstead facility.

The group has one of the most extensive training programmes for a company working within the gate automation and access control sectors of the UK industry.

Safety has been part of our ethos since 1996 and we are delighted that it is now, at long last, become a priority for the industry,’ said James Bostock, CAME group new business and marketing director.

We applaud the initiatives and resources now being put into safety awareness and training but organisations such as the DHF Powered Gate Group, and we support them wholeheartedly. Our own training is some of the most comprehensive of its kind and is based around our products.

Design of the new Hemel centre provides some of the most sophisticated hands-on practical training experience offered by a company in this sector. Allied to this there are also tailored made lecture room facilities for formal training.

CAME offers three tier training from ‘foundation’ through to ‘advanced’ and this year introduced its ‘one2one’option providing bespoke training linked to personal and company requirements.

It is a specialist training that deals with any product nominated by the trainee. They tell us what they want to achieve and we build the course around those requirements. That is available for up to 10 people at a time and has been extremely successful.

We have put a lot of thought and effort into the centre to make it training adaptable and friendly’. ‘Since 2005 we have initiated safety training and demand for these course has increased year on year.

For the first time CAME has issued a training schedule to the end of 2015 and offers training at all three sites.

The attitude towards safety has changed thank goodness and we will continue to be at the forefront and championing the cause, as well as providing the practical solutions to meet that demand' he said.
