CAME, the Treviso-based, world-renowned group for home & building automation, with its 1,370 staff and sales of 230 million euro in 2014, has won the "Le Tigri" award. This prestigious prize is for all small-to-medium Italian enterprises that have managed to overcome the recession through growth-sustaining strategic solutions and positive economic and financial ratios.
The award, which is at its sixth edition, is promoted by Grant Thornton, the global consulting network, together with Borsa Italiana (The Italian Stock Exchange), and the scientific support of ANDAF, a part of CERIF - Cattolica University's Research Center for Family-Run Businesses, and the CUOA Foundation, plus GDIP.
This prize awards CAME's ability in creating value, even during a recession, by going global, investing heavily in new technology and products and diversifying its business - also through acquisitions. Over the last year, in fact, the company has consolidated its presence in urban design and fittings by acquiring the Iberian Parkare group, that specializes in parking-facility and parking-meter technology, with over 200 staff in Spain and Mexico.
Our most recent acquisition is GO Italia, a Friuli-based company specialized in making sectional doors - strictly using only Italian materials and resources. This deal, brings into our fold a company that boasts years of expertise in making and selling doors and that has a solid research and development activity.
The synergies with GO Italia, will enable Came to integrate section doors and fixtures into its product offer for home control and security management, thereby consolidating our presence in the home & building automation market. The Go Italia solutions, in fact, complete the product range we offer, of products that integrate with CAME's own, in-house developed home & building automation system. A system that lets you link up all of the devices fitted in your home - from the gate operator to garden lighting, from video-entry to thermostat-control systems, including burglar-proof alarms - to manage every space of your home by adapting the technology to people's lifestyles and so provide the very best in comfort and safety.
CAME's choice to invest heavily in R&D, and its capacity to continuously innovate, have resulted in the creation of the access-control solution, which is specifically designed to manage the entries of visitors and staff alike, at Expo Milano 2015. Thanks to its cutting-edge solutions CAME was also chosen to be one of the technological partners for the Universal Exposition.
