18 full-height turnstiles, dedicated access for people with reduced mobility and 2 automatic barriers to manage vehicle access to the Arena
CAME brings its access control solutions to the Arena del Bosco dello Sport in Venice, a new 10,000-seat multipurpose venue designed to host sporting events, concerts and live performances.
This project further demonstrates our expertise in access control solutions for major sports venues, where efficient crowd flow management is essential to event operations and the overall visitor experience.
Arena del Bosco dello Sport: a new venue for major events in Venice

Located near Venice Marco Polo Airport, the Arena is one of the key developments within Bosco dello Sport, Venice’s new hub for sports and major events.
The newly built venue extends across four levels and includes dedicated areas for spectators, teams, performers and event-related services.
18 full-height turnstiles to manage spectator access

To manage spectator entry across the different sectors of the Arena, we have installed 18 full-height turnstiles with four sectors.
Featuring stainless steel rotors and designed for integration with ticket readers, these turnstiles will help control access and ensure an orderly flow of spectators during events.
This solution is designed for high-traffic environments, where effective access management and controlled pedestrian flow are essential to maintaining safety and order.
Automatic barriers to control authorised vehicle access

In addition to pedestrian access, the project also includes vehicle access management.
Two CAME automatic barriers have been installed at entrances reserved for sports teams’ buses and authorised staff vehicles. These barriers will help regulate vehicle movements within designated areas, keeping authorised vehicle routes separate from other access routes within the Arena complex.
Accessible entry points for people with reduced mobility
To make the Arena accessible to everyone, the project also includes the installation of the GLB1, a motor-driven swing turnstile with a customisable leaft, designed to facilitate access for people with reduced mobility.
With a clear passage width of 900 mm, this solution provides easy and comfortable access and integrates with the Arena’s access control system, helping make entry points more accessible and suited to the needs for all spectators.
CAME’s experience in major international sports venues
The Arena del Bosco dello Sport adds to our portfolio of major projects, where access control technologies help make pedestrian and vehicle access management more efficient and secure.
Our international references include the Stade de France in Paris, as well as numerous sports facilities in the Netherlands, Poland, Romania and Qatar.
Projects like these allow us to contribute to the development of venues designed to accommodate large numbers of visitors, providing tailored technological solutions to meet a wide range of access management and control requirements.
The project was commissioned by the City of Venice and awarded to a consortium led by CEV S.p.A., together with Gianni Benvenuto S.p.A., Milani S.p.A. and MAEG Costruzioni S.p.A.
