Dosson di Casier (Treviso) 28.10.2026. Full-height turnstiles to regulate spectator entry and automatic barriers to manage access for authorised vehicles. CAME S.p.A., a global leader in automation, smart homes, access control and security, and parking systems, is also contributing to the construction of the Arena del Bosco dello Sport in Venice. The new multi-purpose venue is designed to accommodate up to 10,000 spectators for sport, concerts and other major events. The Arena is one of the most important elements of the Bosco dello Sport project, the new sport and events hub in the Venice area. Located near Marco Polo International Airport, the facility will extend over four levels, with areas for the public, teams, performers and event-related services.
In this context, CAME is providing its access management and security technology – a fundamental factor when designing large sports facilities, as it affects both the organisation of pedestrian flows and the quality of the public’s experience. The project entails supplying and installing 18 full-height turnstiles, configured in four sectors, regulating public access to the various areas of the Arena. Featuring a stainless-steel rotor and set up for integration with ticket readers, the devices enable the control of transit and help keep pedestrian flows orderly. The contract also involves supplying two automatic barriers for vehicle entrances reserved for sports club coaches and authorised staff vehicles. Access management in a venue designed to host a variety of events requires reliable, flexible and integrated solutions capable of meeting diverse security and organisational requirements. In this regard, the Arena del Bosco dello Sport highlights the expertise CAME has come to acquire over years of international experience in large sports facilities.
The Venice project adds to the group’s acknowledged expertise in managing and securing access to large sports facilities and high-capacity venues. Its key international projects include the Stade de France in Paris and numerous facilities in the Netherlands, Poland, Romania and Qatar, where the company has implemented integrated solutions for pedestrian and vehicular access control. This expertise has also been built up in Italy, at sports facilities of all sizes, confirming CAME’s ability to meet the specific security and flow-management needs of major events.
The Municipality of Venice has awarded the contract to a consortium led by CEV S.p.A., with Gianni Benvenuto S.p.A., Milani S.p.A. and MAEG Costruzioni S.p.A.
