The Piaggio headquarters in Noale, located in the province of Venice, is the competence center for innovation and development in the Piaggio Group’s motorcycle segment. This is where the R&D departments dedicated to Aprilia and Moto Guzzi vehicles are located, where models for the global market are designed and developed.
The same complex also houses the laboratories and workshops of Aprilia Racing, the part of the company dedicated to the brand’s sporting activities, where prototypes for the most important sporting competitions, both on and off-road, are designed and built.
CAME was consulted for the implementation of a physical access control solution at all the main entrance gates (vehicular and pedestrian).
Customer need
The project required the replacement of existing turnstiles and vehicular barriers with next-generation devices, while maintaining integration with the existing access control system. The objective was to ensure enhanced security, regulation of pedestrian and vehicular flows, and the ability to manage access remotely.
Solution adopted
The solution involved the installation of two 700 EN1 tripod turnstiles for pedestrian access control of employees and visitors. The GT8 automatic barriers were selected to regulate the entry and exit of suppliers, management personnel, and other authorized vehicles. For the barriers, the adoption of the GSM Gateway module enables remote control and management of all commands.
