CAME is expanding its range of sliding gate solutions with BKX, the new automation system designed to deliver high performance, reliability and ease of management even in situations characterised by continuous duty operation. Designed for professional settings or high-traffic shared areas such as businesses, large residential complexes and healthcare facilities, BKX is available in two versions for sliding gates up to 800 or 1,200 kg and up to 20 meters in length, delivering opening speeds of up to 24 meters per minute and a thrust of up to 800 N. The system is designed to ensure continuity of service and a long operational lifespan, reaffirming the high reliability standards of CAME solutions — a global reference in integrated technology solutions for automation, access control and security, and parking systems.
At the heart of the automation is the 24 V brushless motor with encoder, a technology that ensures smooth and precise movement, optimized speed and torque management, and consistent performance even under continuous use. BKX also features a new advanced-generation electronic platform, developed to streamline installation, configuration and system management operations. The control panel with graphic display allows guided programming of the system’s main functions, which can also be carried out quickly and seamlessly via CAME KEY, the SetUp Pro App, or through the CAME Connect platform.
The new electronic system is also designed to ensure compliance with the latest European requirements on energy efficiency, including Regulation (EU) 2023/826, incorporating energy-saving standby modes at the design stage that help reduce system power consumption when idle. A defining feature of the new electronic system is the integration of CXN Bus technology, a proprietary protocol developed by CAME that enables accessories and control devices to be connected via a simple two-wire cable. This solution reduces wiring complexity, simplifies installation operations, and enables even more advanced control of the entire system. Motion management is further optimized by the Adaptive Speed and Torque control system (AST), which allows the device to automatically adjust the motor’s speed and torque based on the gate’s weight and operating conditions. The system dynamically regulates acceleration, deceleration and obstacle detection, ensuring consistently smooth and safe movement.
BKX is also designed to ensure continuity with existing installations, being compatible with previous CAME sliding gate automation series, including BX, BK and BXV. This feature allows installers to replace or upgrade existing systems simply and quickly, reducing working time and installation complexity. Thanks to compatibility with CAME Connect, the new automation system can be integrated within the CAME digital ecosystem, enabling remote monitoring and management via smartphone or tablet. This allows the installer to deliver efficient, real-time support, even remotely. The end user, in turn, benefits from an enhanced experience through app-based control and smart speaker integration.
