A new compact, smart and reliable automatic barrier with reduced installation time. CAME, a leading provider of integrated solutions for the automation, control and security of residential, public and business environments, adds to its offer of vehicle access control with the launch of the new GARD LS6, an automatic barrier adding to the range of the LS line, already featuring GARD LS4. An ideal solution for medium to high traffic flows, it can handle up to 160 cycles per hour with a net clearance of 3 to 6.5 meters. Featuring a compact design, modern appearance and high-tech core, GARD LS6 is an optimal solution for corporate sites, apartment block entrances, logistics centers and reserved parking areas, meeting the needs of reliability, integration and ease of use. The vertical movement of the boom allows installation in environments where traditional vehicle entrance control systems are not applicable, adapting to entrances with limited space, architectural constraints and innovative architecture. A distinguishing feature of GARD LS6 is its ease of installation thanks to the clever design: it can be mounted on the right or left side of the passageway without having to disassemble any of the barrier components, and can be configured in just three steps via the function display. Putting it into service is child’s play: just select the opening direction, enter the boom length and perform the first calibration.
Reliable technology for over 1.5 million cycles
At the core of GARD LS6 is the low-voltage direct-drive operator (24 V DC), which guarantees 1.5 million cycles (MCBF, Mean Cycle Between Failures) and enables fast, smooth and quiet movement, with opening times of 4 to 6 seconds. The cabinet is made from galvanized steel and painted RAL7024, also available in AISI 304 or in customized colors. One of the strengths of GARD LS6 is its small footprint, making it suitable even for installations in places with minimal space, such as historic centers or pedestrian areas. The low height of the structure helps it to blend in with the landscape. The control panel with function display is pre-configured for connection to the Cloud via the CONNECT platform, connecting easily via Ethernet, Wi-Fi or 4G gateways. CONNECT offers significant advantages to installers and users, thanks to dedicated apps, such as CAME Setup for the former (for quick maintenance and intervention, even remotely) and CAME Automation for the latter (with the ability to manage automation from anywhere). GARD LS6 has accessories that can be integrated directly into the cabinet such as the KLT LED flashing light with red/green traffic light function, pre-configured for high-visibility LED strips on both sides of the boom. The electronics can be integrated with CAME access control software or third-party systems via MODBUS protocol.
