We have completed the project at Mexico City International Airport, where we designed and installed three multi-story parking garages with more than 6,200 parking spaces, 11 entry lanes, and 22 exit lanes.

This was a highly complex project, because an airport never stops. Passenger traffic continues, passengers come and go, and operational areas remain in operation even while work is underway to upgrade them. That is why we carried out the installation in phases, with a dedicated on-site support and maintenance team: the system was integrated gradually, without ever interrupting service at one of Latin America’s busiest airports.

And it is precisely in contexts like this that parking management ceases to be a peripheral issue and becomes a central part of airport infrastructure. As Renato Berto, CAME PARKARE and vice president of CAME’s parking division, explains: “It’s not just about organizing spaces; it directly impacts the passenger experience and the operational efficiency of airports.”

CAME Parkare Technology for Integrated Parking Management

At the heart of the project, we have placed Lince 7, CAME Parkare’s parking management software. Thanks to its Multi-parking functionality, Lince 7 enables centralized, simultaneous oversight of multiple areas, real-time monitoring of traffic flows, and integration with external systems—ranging from license plate recognition to electric vehicle charging stations, including the Find My Car feature. Its modular and scalable architecture is designed to handle peaks in demand without interrupting service.

We operate at 31 airports in Mexico

Mexico City is not a starting point, but rather a new stage in a journey that has unfolded over time. Our parking management solutions are currently in use at 31 Mexican airports, including Cancún, Monterrey, Guadalajara, and Tijuana: an extensive network that has allowed us to develop specific expertise for airport environments of varying scales and complexities.

And beyond: from Gatwick to Barcelona, CAME's global presence

The same approach—based on integrated solutions, operational reliability, and the ability to adapt to existing infrastructure—also guides our work outside of Mexico. At London Gatwick Airport, we manage eight parking areas with approximately 40,000 parking spaces. At Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport, we are carrying out a technological upgrade involving 53 entry points, 60 exit points, and 64 automated payment stations for more than 17,000 parking spaces. In Spain, we serve 75% of the country’s airports—that is, 25 terminals.

Next Steps

The Mexico City project provides a solid foundation on which to continue building. Our focus on the airport sector also extends to pedestrian access control and high-security solutions, enabling increasingly integrated management of all traffic flows—not just vehicular traffic.
