BACKGROUND

Since 2004, Quintain has been developing 85-acre Wembley Park, a leading mixed-use, residential-led development site in London. Once complete, it will comprise 8,500 homes, 6,044 of which to be Build to Rent and managed by Quintain Living.

Quintain initially put tenders out for high-end security equipment to be installed across several of its Build to Rent developments. CAME BPT worked closely with M&E consultant, Griffiths Evans, to present a proof of concept for the Quintain development. This proposal was swiftly accepted due to the modern, stylish, premium aesthetic and functionality of products complementing these exceptional apartments.

As well as being the home of football, Wembley Park is the perfect home for anyone looking to benefit from everything London living has to offer. Quintain promise 5,000 new apartments will be open and ready by 2024.

PROJECT REQUIREMENTS

Quintain’s vision is to invest in the communities and add significant value to society. Quintain were determined to implement the finest security systems on the market to ensure the safety of all people living in their buildings.

It was essential that equipment had a way to connect to the concierge as this is a key element to Quintain Living’s service aspect. In addition, security equipment needed to match the premium aesthetics of the developments. Beyond this, the equipment must be durable, reliable, and easy to use.

SOLUTION

Quintain appointed M&E consultant Griffiths Evans, who specified a reliable, scalable, and high-end video intercom system for the Wembley Park development. CAME BPT worked closely with Griffiths Evans to present a proof of concept, while also performing comprehensive product testing activities to ensure that the proposed system was technically advanced and delivered unparalleled design and operability.

To meet installation requirements CAME BPT provided customised vandal resistant entry panels that were either flush mounted to the buildings exterior or installed onto a mounting post at the building’s entry point. The customisable marine grade 316 stainless-steel front plate added protection and enhanced durability for all entry panels. Each entry panel has been built with an illuminated concierge call button and universal proximity sensor bracket for Salto readers, providing a bespoke experience and subsequently improving user experience.

To facilitate communications between residents, guests, and concierge staff, each panel is completed with a state-of-the-art HD colour camera with auxiliary lighting and exceptional audio clarity, all powered by CAME’s flagship IP360 POE system. CAME BPT’s powerful PC based concierge software enables the circulation of communications to each intercom receiver; delivered as either a global message, block message, or individual message to a specific apartment.

Over 2500 XTS 7IP monitors have been installed throughout the Wembley Park development, with more added as each project phase is completed. The CAME BPT XTS 7IP offers a 7-inch display with an intuitive user interface that can be fully customisable; from altering colour schemes to adding corporate logos or messaging. Quintain customised each XTS 7IP monitor to display their personalised Quintain Living interface to further enhance brand consistency and resident experience.

The XTS 7IP video receiver can be easily integrated with any IP CCTV system for a comprehensive system that is driven and control by a single unit.

RESULTS

As of today (2022), a selection of Quintain Living buildings have CAME equipment in operation which has proven its ability to deliver exceptional quality, highly customised, and scalable solutions for any urban location.

CAME BPT’s collaboration of cutting-edge technology and extreme consideration for unique project requirements unquestionably supported Quintain’s aim of providing the finest rental experience for all its residents in Quintain Living homes.
