CAME introduce ‘The PKE’ parking system into the exclusive Yacht Club in Marina di Stabia, with a total of 760 parking spaces, 6 barriers and 3 automatic pay-stations.

CAME Parkare, which is part of the CAME group, is a company that specialises in the design of advanced parking management systems. Working on the new car park at the prestigious Yacht Club of Castellamare di Stabia, they have designed and developed a top-of-the-range 'PKE’ system. With a capacity of 760 cars, it consists of 6 access points with 'Gard 4' barriers and related entry and exit units, plus 3 automatic pay-stations. This exciting new addition also allows system management to be customised so that the type of access can be specific to different users, from the regular Marina members to the customers who visit less often but pay to park.

The Yacht Club, situated in Marina di Stabia, is a stunning modern building designed by architect Massimiliano Fuksas and features a stylish restaurant, café, 26-metre swimming pool and a range of conference rooms available for hire. Guests can relax and dine on the impressive panoramic terrace which overlooks the sea front and provides a breath-taking view of Italy’s most stunning landscapes, from Mount Vesuvius and Neapolitan city to the Capri and Ischia islands.

The CAME ‘PKE’ parking system improves the overall user parking experience by simplifying and speeding up the entry and exit of users from the Marina di Stabia car park. Innovative and intelligent solutions have been implemented to improve the service, such as new vehicle number plate recognition with OCR, and TAG UHF antennas, which are adhesive labels that are easily applied to vehicle windshields to allow fast entry into the car park. CAME haven’t stopped there either, as the system is designed to work with any future integrations with telepass devices too.

The system was installed in two phases to ensure limited disruption to the exclusive yacht club, and was a great success. Designed and engineered by CAME, non-stop technical support and advanced remote assistance in real time is always provided. However, low maintenance and less staff being required to supervise in the car park is promised to support with cost saving.

Marina di Stabia was built inside the Gulf of Naples in an abandoned industrial area, once occupied by Cantieri Metallurgici Italiani. The project is the result of a redevelopment plan which included the construction of the marina, a shipyard, dry storage, and commercial and industrial buildings such as restaurants, sports facilities and exhibition areas. Extending over a total area of 60,000 square metres and positioning itself as one of the largest marinas in Europe, Marina di Stabia raises the bar for European marinas by blending innovative new facilities with elegant surroundings and exceptional service.
